Then, I needed to call PayPal customer service and report that my account was not accessible to me. Maybe I only needed to remove one, but it wouldn't work until I had removed the very last one. I had to go to my mail settings, open my blocked sender list, and remove every address with "paypal" in it. I had marked one of their notifications as junk once, and from that point on, I couldn't receive any email from them. I don't know if this will be of any help to you, but I managed to have my issue resolved by doing a few things.įirst, I needed to unblock PayPal from my email account. Any advice on what to do or how to do it would be greatly appreciated. It kind of seems as though some disgruntled PayPal employee made off with my money, or maybe some super hacker if one could do such a thing without anyone knowing. So that's what happened, and I hope it wasn't too much to read. I received the automatic 'thank you for contacting us' email though, so I know I can receive at least some emails from PayPal (and I've checked my junk folder). And just in case this is relevant, I can't seem to receive the confirmation email from PayPal for this account. I sent an email to PayPal almost a week ago (on the 16th, the day all this happened) demanding an explanation regarding what happened to my account and my money. I received no email notification for such a thing, nor did I receive any reimbursement for the money in that account (definitely over $400, but probably close to $600). So now it seems as though I've lost my old account somehow. That's how the account I'm using now was created. So I tried creating a new account using that address, thinking I might get an error message or something, but nope, it worked. And I've never changed the email address, nor have I shared my login information with anyone ever. I even have at least one old message in that address's inbox from PayPal. I thought there must have been some mistake, since I know that was the right email address. Then I tried going through the password retrieval process, but when I entered my email address, I got text saying there was no PayPal account with that email address. But the login didn't work, so I tried other passwords. Actually, I didn't have to enter my email, because I had my browser remember that a long time ago. I tried logging in to PayPal just like I would any other day, by entering my email and password. And so was the money that had been in it.
